Announcing the highly anticipated Chord Electronics DAVE. First we had the highly acclaimed Hugo, then the HUGO TT and now we have the QBD76HDSD replacement with the DAVE.

I’m sure many of you are already curious of the naming scheme before even a second thought of the specification, but it stands for Digital to Analogue Veritas in Extremis.

Launched officially at Munich High End 2015 DAVE features the most advanced chipset to date from the Kent based company. Clocking in with a mere 164000 taps it has considerably more than the Hugo series of hardware. In order to process all of the data in the taps DAVE powers up with an immense 166 seperate DSP cores just for the WTA Filter alone

. It offers a dedicated quarter inch jack socket for your headphones and high quality pre amplifier to plug straight into your power amplifier or active speakers.
