The Musical Fidelity M1 CLiC is the latest in the line of M1 series products to breach the doors of the Middlesex based company Musical Fidelity. Famous for their massively powerful power amplifiers and high quality hifi equipment the M1 CLiC is the first device that encorporates streaming either over the network or from local devices. Classsed as a  universal music controller it has a built in pre amplifier, supporting a copious amount of inputs including dual analog, digital - via USB, toslink or co-axial ,ethernet network, wireless, internet radio and much more. The wonderfully crafted front fascia is designed to match that rest of the M1 series such as their M1 DAC and M1 HPA headphone amplfier.

The M1 CLIC is designed with functionality in mind, incorporating a variety of inputs and outputs to suit your every need. With the massive influx of digital media in the hifi market and the advent of streaming services. The M1 CLiC is an ideal device to simultaneously control all of your various sources simply at the touch of a button. Inputs include three line level RCA analogue inputs including a tape loop, 2 x RCA coaxial inputs, 1 x optical input, 2 x USB input's, one on the front fascia in order to connect to your iDevice. For the network connectivity there is an RJ45 ethernet connection and optional wireless connection once you have connected the supplied aerial. The network connections avaliable will enable the device to stream audio over your LAN or use WAN services such as internet radio. To top off the connection list for the Custom Installers there is also an RS232 connection for remote controlling the device in a multiroom system.

Due to the M1 CLiC being based on the M1 DAC it contains a 24 bit Delta-Sigma DAC. It's compatible with file formats including FLAC (upto 24-bit/192kHz), WMA (inc lossless), LPCM (upto 24-bit/192kHz), Real Audio, ogg Vorbis 4.0,

OUTLINE OF M1 CLiC

The M1 CLiC is universal music controller for digital and analog sources. It has:

  • Seven digital inputs (2 x digital ipod/iphone/memory stick or USB drive, 2 x coax, optical, USB,  network connection.)
  • Three analog inputs
  • Streaming
  • Internet radio

The CLiC has both fixed and variable output.  It also has a trigger output.

The CLiC will operate from wireless or Ethernet.

DIGITAL INPUTS

At its heart, the CLiC has a very low noise, low jitter up to 24bit 192 kHz, reclocking upsampling DAC.  This has outstanding technical performance with extremely low distortion and excellent linearity. True state of the art performance.

The CLiC will accept the following formats:

  • FLAC (up to 24bit 192 kHz on wired LAN and up to 24bit 96 kHz on wireless LAN)
  • WMA/9  (up to 16bit 48 kHz)
  • AAC, HE-AAC (up to 24bit 96 kHz)
  • LPCM (up to 24bit 192 kHz on wired LAN and up to 24bit  96 kHz on wireless LAN)
  • Ogg vorbis 1.0 (up to 16bit 32 kHz)
  • MP3 (up to 16bit 48 kHz)

The seven digital inputs are configured as follows:

  • 2 x digital ipod/iphone, memory stick, USB disc drive
  • 2 x coax inputs (S/PDIF up to 24bit 192 kHz)
  • Optical (up to 24bit 192 kHz)
  • USB input
  • Network connection

The wireless connection can operate up to 24bit 96 kHz depending on computer network settings.

ANALOG INPUTS

The analog inputs are pure analog from beginning to end.
