Comprising a multi format CD player, iPod dock, USB playback port, DAB/DAB+/FM tuner and auxiliary inputs allied to a powerful amplifier/speaker system the R4i is in many ways a traditional music centre, though one designed and engineered for the 21st Century.
The R4i is the result of our desire to design and build the best small audio products available. As an example, most compact systems use amplifier chipsets for simplicity and cost, but for R4i we developed our own Class A-B amplifiers using discrete component technology. This complex technique is usually only found in high quality, high value audio separates.
With no wires to worry about other than a power lead, simply plug R4i in and within minutes you’ll have beautiful room filling sound that that will satisfy even the most discerning listener.
Through careful design we endeavour to make our products easy to operate. Just select the mode you require on our custom RotoDial interface and all R4 and iPod functions can be intuitively controlled. Exclusively for R4i we've taken our RotoDial concept a stage further so it can be detached and also function as a fantastic hand held remote-control. With its superb tactile design it is totally unique and sitting on your coffee table it will be a guaranteed talking point.
R4i’s elegant slot loading CD player plays standard music CDs and will also play CD-Rs encoded with MP3 or WMA (Windows Media Audio) music files. With the aid of a computer and programs such as Windows Media Player or iTunes, users can create their own MP3/WMA playlists and record CDs that will play continuously for many hours. For convenience we’ve also included a USB port which will playback MP3 files downloaded onto a USB flash memory stick.
On the front panel a headphone socket is provided along with an AUX line input allowing quick and easy connection of a MP3 player or any other audio device. On the rear panel we’ve provided two pairs of high quality gold-plated phono sockets. The first provides output for recording or hook-up to a secondary system and the second provides an additional input for the permanent connection of a MP3 player or TV/DVD.

Custom Cable use Royal Mail First Class delivery on all items below 2.0kg and are normally delivered to mainland UK within 2 days, however channel islands may take up to 3 days. We endeavor to dispatch on the same day , subject to stock availability and configuration of cable required. Delivery may be delayed if the order is a special order or has specific requirements.
For items that you require urgent delivery on, then you can select Royal Mail Special Delivery which aims to reach you the next day (excluding UK offshore and the Highlands of Scotland) A signature will be required on delivery when using Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Custom Cable will use Royal Mail International Signed For worldwide for all items less than 2.0kgs. Items more than 2.0kgs are sent using Parcel Force Worldwide. For countries in the EU delivery times are estimated between 3-7 working days and slightly longer for all countries outside of the EU.
Customers in certain countries are also able to choose Royal Mail International Airsure. Airsure® is generally a day faster than standard Airmail and can be tracked online. Which means the aim is:
- 2 working days after posting to Western Europe
- 4 working days after posting to Eastern Europe and postal subsidiaries (Islands and Principalities)
- 6 working days after posting to the rest of the world
